Have you started writing your Christmas cards? At this time of year, many people begin to search for that “perfect” message. They seek the words to prove that they cared enough to send the very best.
But as eloquently as we may try to word our Christmas cards and newsletter, the most perfect Christmas message has already been sent. God’s sent his word to us to enjoy everyday of the year.
And what about shopping? Have you started making a list, and checking it twice? Many of us struggle to find the “perfect” gift: the one that fits the receiver to a T. We want the gift to be useful and reflect the receiver’s personality. We search for a gift that will leave the recipient speechless.
But no matter how hard we try and how long we shop, we’ll never surpass the gift that God gave on that first Christmas. The gift of his son, Jesus, was truly the most perfect gift. It is “one-size-fits-all”, yet completely personalized. And, it’s a gift that is so wonderful and so amazing, it leaves us truly speechless.
