“You have heard that it was said,
‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemies.’
But I say to you
Love your enemies &
pray for those who hurt you.”
Matthew 5:43-44
What a hard verse to impress upon my children!
(Especially when it's so hard for most adults!)
It's against our normal nature to want to love those who hurt us.
Because of the detail in these color sheets,
we kept them out for most of the week.
And each time we sat down to work on them,
I had the opportunity to discuss this verse with the girls.
And perhaps, if I keep explaining it to my children....
I"ll get a better grip on it myself.
*Our Bible verse coloring sheets actually featured a 'sister verse' to
our actual Verse of the Week -- same message, though!*
This is such a great idea! And I love your thought about by teaching it to your girls you might better understand it yourself--so true, isn't it!

What a great idea! I love what you said about how hard it is to teach it when it's so hard to learn it ourselves - How true is that!? What a great lesson, since it took so long to color, you were given more than one chance to discuss. You are AWESOME! Thanks for linking up!
